It is estimated that about 280 million people will be flying by the year 2020 in India alone. No doubt the air travel is considered to be the safest mode of transportation as compared to road or rail travel; the efforts for air safety have always been the top priority of aviation industry. The aircraft manufacturing industries are working on the technical aspects and governments are paying serious attention on efficient functioning of the airports so that passengers enjoy a hassle free and pleasant experience. On the name of emergency safety procedures airhostesses give emergency instructions at the time of take off which is probably not enough to deal with the frequently reported aircraft incidents/accidents in view of the growing air travel in India. It is observed that at the time, of emergency demo just before takeoff, passengers are tired and bored due to stressful security drill in present scenario. They normally don't pay attention to the monotonous flight safety demo and they feel that they know everything where as in case of emergency they are caught unaware and become panicked and create hurdle for safe and timely evacuation. Keeping this in view one airline in Philippines has planned that cabin crew will impart flight safety demo by dancing on a tune of popular song to draw the attention of the passengers.
AVIACON (INDIA) which has so far been used for air hostess training now offers a unique program for cabin crew and air passengers to be adequately prepared-to manage themselves in any aircraft emergency they encounter. The air craft emergency evacuation training involving cabin crew and passengers will be complimentary to each other and will strengthen the possibility of security of the aircraft and passengers in any uneventful situation.
The requirement for training of air travelers has been felt for long but it has been missing due to exorbitant cost involved in creating and maintaining such training facility. AVIACON (INDIA) was established in 2000
